The event, known as nagar kirtan, takes place on sunday, april 28, and traditionally sees a huge number of followers taking part on the walk between two of the city’s. Preparations at the local gurudwara or sikh temple are well underway, and local volunteers are working to ensure the parade’s success, also called the squamish nagar kirtan.
